Found at http://www.lomme.com/Home/tabid/194/language/en-US/Default.aspx. This is the best bed I’ve ever seen! I think I would probably live there :-) .

LOMME (Light Over Matter Mind Evolution) is a unique sleep experience and rejuvenation environment. Lomme defies definition. It is a piece of furniture, a work of art and a place to rejuvenate. In its sophisticated simplicity it evokes feelings of unity and enables the soul to access the source of its power.

Lomme World creates an environment which incorporates different elements: light, color, sound, touch; through which one can expand their senses and develop mind and brain functions. Lomme creates an athmosphere to relax and to get a better understanding of oneself.

Lomme is generating a wave of interest about the importance of quality sleep and the environment in which we spend a third of our lives. The founders of the company have made it their mission to create the most relaxing, protected and natural place to restore energy levels for the day to come.

Created as a result of two years research into sleep habits, problems and therapies, Lomme skilfully combines natural therapies with the cutting edge technology. Using light, sound and massage therapies, Lomme offers an environment to enhance all the senses – forming a place to rejuvenate, meditate and above all sleep.

Lomme features a unique light therapy alarm clock. After you have been lulled into a deep restful sleep by the gradual fading light of a simulated sunset, waken naturally as light from the virtual sunrise plays on your skin.

Color therapy can affect our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual state. The light system within Lomme allows the user to choose the strength and color of the internal light with a color wheel. This light color therapy is known to enhance the body’s energy centers and can even stimulate the healing process.

Forming a protective cocoon, Lomme limits external noise to distance you from the outside world. An iPod has been invisibly installed to enable the sleeper to listen to relaxing music, sounds and guided meditations. Advice can be given on the kind of sounds recommended for waking up and falling asleep.

Here are some additional features:

MASSAGE
Massage therapy is known to deepen relaxation and improve sleep quality and the Lomme mattress is available with an in-built massage system offering a choice of massage options.

MATTRESS
The Lomme viscoelastic memory foam mattress is characterized by high degree of functionality, quality and durability. The bed climate is regulated and the hardness of the mattress remains virtually constant. The mattress is easily adjustable to your reading comfort.

PROTECTION
Within the shell of Lomme there is a special system which blocks harmful electromagnetic waves and radiation. A specially designed sleep button isolates all electricity away from the bed.

Redefining bed design forever, the Lomme is a unique synthesis of nature, art and technology. The streamlined curves and organic shapes make a design statement in any bedroom or sleeping space while the in-built technology creates the perfect environment in which to dream.

the Euro is about double the American dollar… try about… 84,000$.. lol!!!
thats not the price of a bed.. thats the price of a HOUSE!

Seriously.. I rather buy a really, really nice RV..

Though, I Would be interested if they end up coming out with a really cool high tech alarm clock. that does all the neat light stuff that they talked about. But then again.. with there prices it would probably be able 2k…. lol not in my price range..

Well.. mmm I just got a idea.. Why don’t we just move our beds outside. and then we can get the real deal.. a REAL sunset and a REAL sunrise.. huh? huh? Or maybe we can just open our blinds and let the light in? mmmm I may be onto something.. lol
(I’m aware that the bed does alot more then just a light show.. but I guess that part is what sparked my interest.. hehe)

For a great alarm clock, Google “zen alarm”. We have had one for about 6 months and it is wonderful. Wakes you with a “ping” that sounds like a Tibetan bowl strike. I am usually awake by the third set of pings. They get closer together the longer you don’t respond.

Maybe not the most technologically advanced. There are cheaper options that I could still feel good about sleeping in!

This eggish bed is super intriguing, however.

Thanks for the info, and your presence!

All is aware and awake with Love’n'Light for ALL!!!!!!!

Sounds just wonderful in theory – but do you really want to sleep with your iPod beaming 3G straight into your body while you sleep and your body is trying to rejuvanate? Also, with all that sound and vision going on you are once again surrounding your body with electromagnetic smog, not such a nice thing and not at all healing, don’t think your cells would thank you for spending all that money :-(
Organic cotton bedding, sleeping outside, all cheaper and healthier also I think I will stick with my earthing sheet.

You would think that for the price the bed costs that they could at least use spellcheck to correctly spell afford.

I think the bed would be marvelous. Sound, colors etc vibrate into our skin. After all our skin takes pictures of everything, so it would only make sense to have this bed. I am going to put it on my list…
