No gift of nature can be replaced by the products invented in laboratories!!
The Mother Earth is incredibly liberal. She gifts us nutrient-packed fruits and vegetables and give us the nourishment required to lead a good life.
Coconut is particular tops the list of her gifts. Because of its numerous healing properties many call it “the tree of life”.
For a long time, the island people consumed it daily as a part of their diet and considered it to be the panacea for all their illness. Although it constitutes saturated fat, conditions like diabetes, heart diseases and cancer were almost unheard of at that time. Instead, the Filipinos and islanders were rewarded with a lovely, youthful, soft and wrinkle-free skin. There were no traces of skin cancer, even though the people there were extensively exposed to the sun.
Coconut oil is anti-viral and anti-bacterial, absolutely the best for skin and hair, and even burns fat. Unlike to what has been believed about the saturated fats, the coconut oil doesn’t cause obesity, heart problems or any other disease. Modern science and medicine are finally catching up and starting to realize this elemental truth about coconut oil.
Before the Second World War, the miraculous coconut oil was used to help with:
- skin infections
- and many other health issues
But after the war ended, this thinking was changed by the US proclamation of hydrogenated oils to be healthier. Later, an under-developed scientific theory claimed the saturated fats to increase the “bad” LDL cholesterol levels, which was dangerous for the humans. This situation was exploited perfectly by the food manufacturers because vegetable oils are cheaper to produce.
Cheaper, hydrogenated oils, produced in bulk replaced the traditional foods, like the all-healing coconut oil. And for the first time in the history, diseases which were earlier widespread among Americans started to plague these island nations too.
4 Unhealthy Oils You Should NEVER Consume
You should avoid eating the following oils if you want to stay beautiful, healthy and young.
1. Canola – Even insects and animals avoid it!
Nothing like canola exists in nature. Canola oil is just a customized version of the rapeseed oil. The rape plant is constituted by cyanide-containing compounds. The distillation process of deodorizing and bleaching it to transform to canola oil involves exposing the rapeseed oil to very high heat which reduces the Omega-3 content.
Its consumption is now linked to many health issues like fatty degeneration of the kidneys, adrenals, heart, thyroid gland and the muscular disorders.
2. Cottonseed Oil – It is now an industrial plant soaked with pesticides.
Everything from canned products to chips and many packaged items have the cottonseed oil as an ingredient. But as cotton is treated like an industrial crop, and not an edible crop, almost anything is being sprayed on cotton plants just to keep away the insects and to induce growth. Hazardous poisons like trifluralin, dicofol, cyanide, naled and propargite are used on these crops which transform them into contaminated organisms.
Besides being very high in omega-6 fatty acids, cottonseed oil has a similar protein structure to peanuts. So if you are allergic to peanuts, you have to stay away from it at all costs. Unfortunately FDA does not require an allergy label on the oil so you need to read the label carefully.
3. Safflower – It increases Omega-6 levels that also raises your chances of heart disease.
There is no point believing that the saturated fat is a direct reason of heart diseases. Previous studies failed to estimate the high ratio of the omega-6 fats to omega-3 fats in these oils. But researchers now have a proof that it might not be the high cholesterol level that kills, but rather the omega-6 factor.
In one study animal fats were replaced with omega-6 rich safflower oil, the cholesterol levels actually decreased a bit, but the rate of deaths due to cardiovascular and coronary artery diseases increased notably.
These results provoked the researchers to reconsider their theories about cholesterol, saturated fat and heart diseases and point out the true culprit, the “heart-healthy” fatty acid Omega-6.
4. Soybean – Absolute disaster to your hormones.
It is the biggest nutritional myth that soy is beneficial. 99% of the American soy is GMO (Genetically Modified Organism). The highly refined soy is linked to several conditions including the hormone disruption and thyroid damage, thanks to the large quantities of phyto-estrogens present in it. It is highly processed and hydrogenated and found in numerous products.
People in Asia enjoy soy in its fermented state and in considerably smaller quantities than we do. So if do want to include this oil in your dietary plan, make sure it is in fermented form.
It is time to make sure that you don’t have one of these oils (or food with them) in your pantry and opt in for a healthy coconut oil instead.
We all have been lied to for many years by the big food manufacturing companies. The time is now to empower yourself with this information and make healthy choices for your own and your family’s health!
