In this pilot episode we welcome Raw & Health Food Master Chef Joy Houston to BeWellBuzz and she demonstrates a powerful turmeric elixir that helps rid the body of inflammation. We’re honored to have someone of Joy’s expertise sharing her wisdom with you.
Here’s the recipe:
1/4 pound fresh ginger
1/4 pound fresh turmeric
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
1/4 to 1/4 cup raw honey
3 cups water or coconut water to serve as “shots” 6 cups to serve as a lemonade
Juice the turmeric ginger and peeled lemons (or use a citrus juicer if you hate peeling lemons!). Combine the juice with all remaining ingredients in glass pitcher and stir or shake well to combine. Keep it in the fridge and enjoy a shot twice a day.
