Before I tell you why you should think differently, there’s a little study I’d like to tell you about.
See, some time ago, a group of scientists took a few random people and asked them to work out mentally.
Yep, they’re supposed to do simple physical exercises in their minds .
Now, those same scientists took another group of people, whom they asked to actually do the very same exercises. They wanted that second group to actually go through the workout.
Can you guess what happened?
Well, when the tests were over and the doctors looked at the brains of all of the participants, they realized that the participants’ brains changed in the exact same way, no matter if it was done physically or mentally.
The brain couldn’t tell the difference. It was as if all of the participants were actually physically doing the exercises.
Amazing, isn’t it?
So what does that mean?
Simply speaking, it means that you can change the way your brain looks by thinking. You can cause physical changes to it, through the power of your own thoughts.
Now, in case you’ve not realized, everything that you do in this life, whether it’s meeting new people, dealing with new situations, performing physical exercise or doing anything else gets registered in the brain.
Everything you go through in your life affects it.
Here’s another question for you…
What do you think happens when you put enough focus into thinking about something?
Your brain will change accordingly and it will act as if what you’re thinking about actually happened. Then, it’s going to adapt to the situation.
So, how does all this apply to you?
My hope is that what I just shared with you will motivate you to think differently. I’d like you to understand how powerful your thoughts are and take advantage of it. You have the ability to not only shape your reality just by thinking, but also change your future.
There’s something else, though.
If you really want to achieve great things in life, you have to remember one more thing:
Your thinking must be congruent with your actions.
It is not enough to just think about what you want. You want to put in the effort and work necessary to get it.
I mean, of course, your brain is going to take what you focus on and shape your mind to help you achieve it, but if you don’t get off your chair to actually do the work, nothing will happen.
Thought plus action equals success.
When you couple your thinking with actions, everything, literally everything, is possible.
So, if you want to change the world, just focus on it and think as if you already got it. Don’t let anyone else tell you that what you want is impossible. If you think differently than the rest, if you don’t let anything stop you, both in your thinking and in your actions, what seems impossible now will become very easy.
Just give it a shot.
