Being Grateful Is the Key to a Happy Life

being grateful

How do you live with a sense of total fulfillment and happiness, being grateful and confident?

Are negative “beliefs” from your childhood lurking in your subconscious mind and influencing your life without you even knowing it? Carl & Stephanie Symington said in their book “Getting Well Again” that “everyone participates in his or her health or illness at all times. It is not purely a physical problem but rather a problem of the whole person, which includes body, mind and emotions. It is about what is going on in a person’s life.”  That was an eye-opener for me. It was what was going on inside of my head. My inside was causing my outside!

So, here are a few confronting questions: How’s your health? How much energy do you have? How are your family relationships? How are your finances? Are you inspired by purpose and passion with your work? Do you have time for relaxation and enjoyment? The answer to these questions is important. Living by the wrong laws or principles will have you running on a treadmill of mediocrity, going nowhere with your entire life–until eventually your health, your relationships and your wealth are devoured.

Knowledge is NOT power, contrary to what we are told. It is potential power. I heard it said, “If knowledge were enough, then every single librarian or professor in the country would be a multi-billionaire”.

Universal laws ALREADY shaped your life since day one. Remember, these laws already work perfectly, for you or against you, whether you’ve been aware of them working or not. And if you want to know how well you score in your mastery of these laws, then all you have to do is look at the current results in your life. Shouting at the sun for coming up doesn’t change it. Being angry that snow is cold doesn’t warm it up. Complaining and wishing for things to be different doesn’t make them different. If you keep getting hit in the head with a falling brick, move!

As important as the natural laws are, it is up to us to make them work for us, not against us. If you aren’t planning to win then you are planning to fail. If you plan on the laws working by default, then your life always will be about the program others have programmed into you. Simply believing in the laws isn’t enough. Neither is understanding them. I know, I have tried! You have to apply the laws to work for you in the way you want them to work.

This isn’t about motivation or simply thinking positively. Positive thinking and motivation can come and go. I’m talking about total transformation. The difference between the two is the difference between living in total health and fulfilment and feeling absolutely brilliant or being frustrated constantly because things aren’t working for you. This is who you are from the inside out.

If you’re not happy with all aspects of your life, then aligning yourself with these laws will change your outcome. As vitally important as these principles are, many people in today’s world still ignore them. It’s why so many celebrity millionaires drug overdose and why statistically lottery winners are more likely to go bankrupt. I was told once that if I inherited a million, I best become a millionaire. I didn’t understand what I was being told was to change my mind set to a new way of thinking and believing.

It’s why “get rich quick” schemes never work and hoping you will get lucky at the lottery doesn’t work. Because people ignore the proven principles. With the right principles in place, you’ll be able to live your life in health, wealth and wonderful relationships–living in gratitude and confidence with a sense of total fulfilment and happiness.
