If you are challenged achieving things you want in your life, then affirmations should be a must on your daily to do list.
Affirmations are one of the most effective techniques you can use for obtaining more of what you do want and less of what you don’t.
An affirmation is a positive statement made in the present tense together with an emotional attachment. For example: “I am a fearless person and full of abundance; abundance is all around me.”
For years when I first explored this idea, I was not putting any emotion into my statements and was not getting the results I required. It was not until I added this feeling that my true manifestations became a reality.
The reason affirmations are so vital to your mental health is your conscious mind does not know whether a statement is true or false. It only believes the information it receives. Therefore, if you affirm that I am weak, your mind believes it to be true. The same goes for affirming, “I am strong.” Your mind believes it is strong.
Try lifting something really heavy while shouting “I am a weak person.” See how you feel and what happens to you. Your mind and body are all confused, and everyone else will be, too.
Pay attention to how you use your language and describe yourself to others. If the general tone is hopeful and positive, you feel better, more optimistic, and want to achieve more with your time. It allows us to see a brighter side of life. It embodies a deeper and wider meaning that invites a healthy way of thinking and acting, which improves the quality of our everyday lives. Certainly that has been my experience.
Philosopher William James said, “The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives.” It is easier to create a life you love when you give yourself affirmative messages.
Dr. Wayne Dyer often says, “What we think about comes about.” If you want a healthy mind, you must feed it with healthy thoughts. Repeating positive self talk is the way to switch from negative thinking that doesn’t serve you to positive thinking that does.
No matter what the circumstances are, you can be almost guaranteed that when things start going wrong, your mind automatically goes into “stinky-thinky” mode.
When this happens to me, I immediately change my language. I begin my sentences with, “I can, I will, I am,” statements to prevent those negative thoughts from going from my conscious mind to my subconscious mind. When they are still in your conscious mind, it is easier to wipe them out of your mind. When they grow deeper into your subconscious mind, it becomes more of a challenge to shift your state.
I can’t begin to tell you how many times I have used the art of affirmations and have enjoyed the incredible results.
It has become such a habit for me that I actually say them even in minor situations; things like wanting a computer workstation with cupboards and shelves attached to it, similar to a wall unit. I not only found and attracted my perfect desk, but the size, color and style suited my house as if it was custom made. The desk was in brand new condition for a second-hand price.
When I was re-furnishing my house, I went through this process with every item I purchased. The same result occurred every single time. My friends and relatives were amazed at how I was able to find such items in such fantastic condition and at a good price. The items looked like they were custom made for my house. What is a mystery for some is only a simple occurrence to me.
If you wish to end the struggle and attract everything you want in your life, I strongly suggest you use this idea of affirmations. You truly will benefit from the results. I have.
In my next article I will reveal other ways you can achieve your wants and desires more confidently with more certainty.
All the best in your search to acquire more HAPPINESS.
